The impact of parental incarceration on a child/children can be a traumatic experience. A child may suffer mentally and socially as a result of parental incarceration. Programs and services that focus on helping children after parental incarceration are limited.
Over 2 million children in the US have been impacted by parental incarceration.
73,000 children in the state of South Carolina are impacted by parental incarceration
Bicyclist Building Bridges was formed in 2015 to provide sensible solutions to help children impacted by parental incarceration. We've provided service to 58 children in the state of South Carolina, all thanks to the helping hands of our communities.
Much support is needed to help the 73,000 children in this state. Bicyclist Building Bridges is a 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Organization here to help The Forgotten Children.
We focus on making the maximum positive effort for the forgotten children in our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. We provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference. Providing free transportation to help children visit their incarceration parent is a blessing to the families we serve.
Bicyclist Building Bridges is currently raising funds to open it's first Community Center. We are looking for people like you to help spread the word.
