Our History

The impact of parental incarceration on a child/children can be a traumatic experience.  A child may  suffer mentally and socially as a result of parental incarceration. Programs and services that focus on helping children after parental incarceration are limited.

Over 2 million children in the US  have been impacted by parental incarceration.

73,000 children in the state of South Carolina are impacted by parental incarceration

Bicyclist Building Bridges was formed in 2015 to provide sensible solutions to help children impacted by parental incarceration.  We've provided service to 58 children in the state of South Carolina, all thanks to the helping hands of our communities.

Much support is needed to help the 73,000 children in this state. Bicyclist Building Bridges is  a  501(c)3 Tax Exempt Organization here to help The Forgotten Children.

Our Mission

Our History

Our Mission

We focus on making the maximum positive effort to help children stay connected to their parent in prison. With the help  of our community leaders, business leaders, members and volunteers, we strive to give every child in South Carolina the opportunity to stay connected with their parent while the parent is in prison.  Working as a team, we can provide the needed services to  help lesson the negative impact of parental incarceration and help affect change. We provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference. Our free  transportation program provided to caregivers, helps children visit their incarceration parent in prison 4 times a year.  We take pride in helping families stay connected.
